While I was expecting my son Viggo I felt an urge to make. Make, make, make until labour would stop me. One of my last nesting projects was a shelf I made for Viggo's room. I wanted to create something unique and fun and at the same time I wanted this to be an upcycling project. I bought a second hand shelf and customized it by designing animal potraits to paint on its doors. Each portrait was completed with a textile element to make the animals interesting not only to look at but also to touch.
